We all have those items in our wardrobes and drawers that just aren't in rotation anymore but they'll never be thrown away because they mean way too much. Do you have an old t-shirt or top that you absolutely loved but no longer wear - perhaps a tour t-shirt from your favourite band in your youth or a maternity t-shirt you wore for practically the whole 9 months?
Re-use, re-cycle, re-fashion and pass it on.
Working with Crib Designs and a colour clever sewing lady called Julie in St Louis you will be able to design a top or dress in sizes from 6 months to 5 years using your pre-loved garment complemented by other great recycled materials sourced by Julie. The possibilities are endless and just a few examples are shown below.

Step 1 - Think to self “ what a cool idea! Little JoJo* would look great in one of those.”
*insert name of own/friend’s/family member’s child here
Step 2 - Mentally run through your own/your partner’s/your older child’s wardrobe, drawers and ironing basket trying to think of cute /funny /kitsch /cool /pretty garments that don’t get worn much anymore.
Step 3 - Think to self “oh what about that Bon Jovi tour t-shirt that has a hole in the sleeve!”
Step 4 - Check partner has not thrown said Bon Jovi t-shirt in the charity box
Step 5 - Return to http://www.cribdesigns.co.uk/ and order a completely unique ultra-cool new outfit for little JoJo*. Choose from short sleeve T, Long sleeve T or dress.
Step 6 - Wait - within 24 hours you will receive a friendly e-mail from Beth at Crib Designs with an address to send your garment to. Beth will quiz you relentlessly on gender, size, likes and loathes (Orange is my favourite, puppies suck, stripes make me dizzy in a good way, pink is the colour of the devil, etc), and any special layout do's and don’ts (don't cut around the flower, do include the Coventry tour date).
Step 7 - Respond in an equally friendly manner to Beth’s e-mail and get down to the post office to send Jon Bon and his pals to Beth's house.
Step 8 – Wait - Beth and Julie work together to get the next bit done. At this stage you can have lots of input or no input depending how you roll. If you are the trusting sort who can tell what a fab eye for colour and design the girls at Crib Designs have you might like a surprise and wait for Step 9. If you are a bit more picky or just like the creative process you can get involved and receive a minimum of 3 coordinating high quality recycled fabric choices for you to yay or nay to complete the look.
Step 9 - Industrious sewing and lots of posting and packing later you receive a parcel.
Step 10 - Open, smile, try on little JoJo* or give as gift. Accept all compliments & point others in the direction of http://www.cribdesigns.co.uk/
10 easy steps and 3-6 weeks and a designer, recycled, one-off fashion statement is yours. Genius.
When you’re ready to order go to our clobber page and in the meantime get hunting through your wardrobe for that A-Ha t-shirt, you know its there somewhere!
